A wet morning greeted us when we pulled back the curtains, so of we went arriving on the bank at 07.30.. Up went the day shelter & in when all the kit...We were at one of our small syndicate waters after some carp.. We set up the Bruce & Walker S/U Carp Rod with Shimano 6000 gt reel & 8lb line to a 30g inline lead & a size 8 Ronnie rig.... Had one Carp around 5lb & the a Common Bream at around 3 lb. I was using my John Wilson Travel Barbel to float fish with sweetcorn down the R/H margin with sweetcorn and picked up some really nice roach.
After lunch I switched from the Ronnie rig to a stiff rig with 16mm Manilla boilies and had lovely Carp at 9lb 6oz to finish off the day nicely.
